Multi-color printed paper booklet with photographs. From the Ann Owens Collection; dates to the 1990s or later. Brochure describes accommodations and amenities available aboard the Coast Starlight, such as wine tastings, as well as the diverse landscapes through which the route passes. "Turn yourself over to the ultimate off-road adventure...The Coast Starlight offers a break from reality...Breathe."

Package Express brochure, 1982.

Multi-color printed paper brochure issued in August 1982 to promote Amtrak's Package Express service. From the Ann Owens Collection. This brochure describes door-to-door overnight package delivery available via Amtrak in the California Corridor (235 cities and suburbs between the San Francisco Bay area and San Diego). Included is a chart comparing costs between Amtrak and the major package carriers.

Promotional button made to celebrate the introduction of Amtrak service at Irvine, Calif. in June 1990. Metal button with pin; measures approximately 3" across.

Golden State Aventour brochure, 1973.

Full color paper brochure illustrated with photographs and drawings. This tour package included Amtrak fares. The fifteen-day tour began and ended in Chicago, running from May 5 to October 17, 1973. The westward leg rode the Super Chief and the return eastward leg ran on the San Francisco Zephyr. The California leg was run by motorcoach from Los Angeles north to San Francisco, and then out to Lake Tahoe. From the Ann Owens Collection.
